- Lot Description
Collection of over 160 items signed by (or relating to, in a few cases) just over 130 Navy aviators. Included are David McCampbell, the top Navy ace, with 34 victories (several signed photos). Hayden "Buck" Gregory went on to be an instructor at the Navy's "Top Gun" school. Arthur Ray Hawkins was the Navy's 10th ranked aviator with 14 victories. Dean "Diz" Laird was the only Navy ace with both Japanese and German victories. Alex Vraciu is represented by two 8 x 10" photos, with 19 victories. And Ken Hildebrandt signed his picture with "I'll take the Hellcat any time!" [F6F-3 - Hellcat, the Navy's top fighter, although many of these guys are Wildcat aces (F4F)]

At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
