.303 British, 25.25" round barrel, S/N 15C6730. Blued finish, wood military stock, added raised cheek piece on butt. Receiver marked No 4 Mk1*, wrist marked with serial number, an "S" and dated 1942. Bolt handle marked S on the underside and with the matching serial number on the back. Enfield telescopic sight in No 92 mount serial numbered D31564, rings numbered 279/279 and 280/280. Scope marked TEL. STG. No 32 Mk3 / OS. 2039A No 18732 with thick post with cross hair reticle. Leather scope covers.Muzzle marked with caliber and proof test information. Sling swivels, OD brass mounted woven sling. A green painted metal scope case is included, which is not numbered to this rifle or scope, but is a wonderful accessory and retains the mounting tool in the lid, as well as the paper instructions in the lid. A leather carrying strap is attached to the case.
