Light toning around page edges (on illustrations, most of toning is in the margins, not affecting the print itself).

Chicago: Belford, Clark & Co., 1885. 4to, printed brown cloth with gilt highlights, beveled boards, gilt spine lettering, all edges gilt, printed endpapers, 162pp. Front board nearly detached, front free endpapers detached, present. Internally mostly clean; any smudges seem to be handling wear. Spine frayed at head.

Large 8vo, embossed maroon cloth with gilt, printed endpapers, 632pp. Spine missing, heavy shelfwear.Boards overall poor, but internally mostly clean other than some scattered foxing. Most illustrations still retain tissue guards.
