- Lot Description
Quarter plate tintype of a young corporal standing with his cavalry saber in a studio setting, his cap, jacket, and wedding ring lightly tinted gold. The trooper poses in front of a studio backdrop depicting a camp scene complete with tent, "US"-marked knapsack and canteen, cannon, and American flag. Housed under mat preserver and glass, but uncased.
Some slight surface cracking in plate (lower right corner), but image is in overall very fine condition. Few light nicks in plate where it meets mat.Condition
