Chinese Porcelain Soup Plates, Ming Dynasty
Chinese. Two porcelain soup plates with scalloped rims, having blue and white floral borders and central hunt scenes, both with blue underglaze marks of Chenghua (1465-1487); ht. 1.25, dia. 7.75 in. (each).
Provenance: The Stanley G. Carlson and Barbara L. Carlson Collection of Chinese Export Porcelain, North Park Towers, Southfield, MICondition
Plate with Hare: Three chips to underside of rim. Two small chips to rim top. 2" hairline through lower right, mostly visible on underside.
Other Plate: Crack through half of rim. Two small chips in rim. Glazed-over chip, left center. - Shipping Info
