Chinese Jade Buddha Carving on Gilt Wood Stand
Chinese, 19th century. A fine jade carving of a seated Buddha on a lotus throne, poised on a carved and gilt wood stand also in the form of a lotus throne, and backed by a gilt wood flame halo with six Buddha figures, having a label with three characters affixed to the back of the flame halo; total ht. 8.25 in.Condition
Vertical crack on jade carving starting from base, approximately 1.25 in. Minor gilt loss to stand and one small crack on base.
