- Lot Description
Chinese, 19th century. An export sewing table in black lacquer with gilt decoration, the top featuring raised hawk on branch with blossoms in pursuit of two smaller birds, the underside of the lid with two griffins with blossoms, the front of the case featuring a raised dragon with drawer with butterfly pulls, gilt floral decoration on the rest of the piece, the interior with fitted compartments; ht. 29.5, wd. 31, dp. 19.5 in.

Losses to lacquer, especially on feet and at corners, interior support for lid broken, one pull needs repair.Condition
