A depiction of the Hongs in Canton showing a scene of bustling trade with numerous figures, Chinese junks, and warehouses with American, English, and Dutch flags, unsigned, having an early dealer's label on verso from The Parker Gallery, London; 10 x 16.75 in. Relined, stable craquelure, a couple of lines of in-painting visible under UV light towards the upper left and upper right corners to fill old paint splits. In a fitting, although perhaps later ebonized frame with gilt liner. A few losses, holes, and cracks to the petal-tip ornaments.
