Wilmington, (Del.): Printed by Peter Brynberg, 1796. 4 by 2 1/2 inches in contemporary paper over boards with sheep spine. Complete in 127 (1) pp. with 29 woodcut illustrations (the frontis illus. repeated in the text). A rare American illustrated juvenile, first published in London by John Newbery in 1765, and often attributed to Oliver Goldsmith. This is the 7th American Edition, having been previously printed in New York (1775), Boston (1783), Philadelphia (1786), Worcester (1787), and by Brynberg in Wilmington (1793).
