Davy, Sir Humphry. ELEMENTS OF AGRICULTURAL CHEMISTRY, IN A COURSE OF LECTURES FOR THE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE. [With an appendix containing "An Account of the Results of Experiments on the Produce and Nutritive Qualities of Different Grasses, and other plants, used as the food of animals. Instituted by John, Duke of Bedford," by George Sinclair, edited by Sir H. Davy. With plates.]. London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, & Brown, 1813. 10 1/2 by 8 1/4 inches in a modern fine binding of 1/2 leather and marbled boards with five raised bands and gilt titling to the spine and a gilt printed red leather label. 323 pp. plus appendix; complete with 9 engraved plates plus the frontis.
Modern binding is Near fine; folding plate has separated at the fold with no loss. The frontis plate is foxed and shows offsetting from an old note laid in. The remaining plates are much less foxed and generally clean. The binding is solid and sound.Condition
