Rare and desirable cased set of Texas Sesquicentennial Winchester Model 1894's in a carbine and rifle. 150 of these sets were made commemorating the Texas Sesquicentennial and presented in a nice oak case with blue velvet lining with a large Bowie knife by "Western USA." The bowie has a 9.25" clip point blade with false edge. Etched gold western scenes on each side of the blade. White micarta grip with brass cross guard and pommel.
The carbine has a 18.25" barrel length and is .38-55 caliber. S/N TEXM131. Left side of the barrel marked in 2 lines with address and caliber markings. The right side is marked in gold "1836 - Texas - 1986". Gold plated frame with engraved famous Texas scenes. Blue barrel and magazine tube with 2 gold barrel bands. Blue lever with etched gold stage coach scene and rose on adverse side. Fancy checkered walnut stock and forearm.
The rifle has a 24" barrel length and is .38-55 caliber. S/N TSRM131. Left side of the barrel is marked in 2 lines with address and caliber markings. The left side of the barrel is etched in gold "1836 - Texas - 1986". Right side of the barrel is etched in gold "Sesquicentennial". The frame is blued with gold etchings of famous Texas scenes. Blue barrel and magazine tube. Blue lever with gold etching of stage coach and rose on adverse side. Fancy checkered butt stock and forearm.
