Cased NY Engraved and Gold-Inlaid S&W Model 1-1/2 First Issue, aka Model 1 1/2 Old Model
.32 RF caliber, 3.5" octagonal barrel, S/N 1068. Nimschke New York-style engraving and inlaid gold bands. Blue finish with original piano finish rosewood grips. Case made of mahogany, red cloth lined with block holding cartridges. This is a rare combination to find, a New York dealer-distributor engraved and gold inlaid Smith & Wesson .32 tip-up.Condition
Very sharp and crisp revolver retaining some of the bright original blue finish the barrel is slightly turning plum. The frame has some bright vivid finish on the top and bottom strap. Slightly fading on the backstrap and the bottom of the butt. Engraving is sharp and crisp with gold bands. Rosewood grips are excellent. Case is in excellent condition.
