.31 caliber, 4" octagonal barrel, S/N 114125. Matching numbers throughout. Top flat of barrel with two-line New York address. Five-shot cylinder with roll engraved stagecoach scene. Blue finish, with case hardened frame, hammer and lever and plated brass trigger guard and backstrap. With pearl grips. Housed in a fitted wooden case with a brass American eagle motif powder flask, a Colts Patent mold and a tin of UMC percussion caps.
The barrel has traces of original blue finish throughout, mostly present in protected areas. The frame retains traces of case colors, with a mostly faded blue patina. The lever and hammer also display the same patina, with stronger case colors in protected areas. The some of the silver plating remains on the brass. The cylinder engraving is in good to very good condition. The grips are in good condition. The bore is in good condition.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received. Shipment is generally made via UPS Ground service. Unless buyer gives special instructions, the shipping method shall be at the sole discretion of Cowan's Auctions, Inc..
