- Lot Description
120-bore (.32), 4.5" octagonal barrel, S/N 8427R. Blued and case hardened finish, checkered walnut grip, fluted buttcap. Frame lightly engraved with foliate scrolls. Top strap and barrel engraved: Deane, Adams & Deane. 30 King William St., London Bridge. Lower right side of frame engraved Adams Patent No 8427 R, with the matching serial number on the cylinder. Revolver is contained in an English pattern mahogany veneer casing, with sectionalized compartments for accessories. The casing is lined in green baize cloth, with a yellow paper Deane, Adams & Deane label in the lid. the accessories include: a Dixon & Sons marked copper bag flask, a dual cavity Adams patent marked bullet mold that is appropriately marked 120, a rosewood cleaning rod with brass jag head and bullet puller, an ebony handled cone wrench, a wad cutter, a pewter oiler, a turned wooden container with paper wads, some loose lead bullets, and a damaged paper container of percussion caps.
Very good. Revolver retains much of the original blue as well as faded and dulled case color on the cylinder. Mechanically functional with a good bore, and crisp grips. Accessories all rate good to very good. Case rates good with some wood loss to the interior lip and a large crack across half of the lid.Condition
