Rare commemorative set of a Winchester 94 and Colt Single Action Army showcasing matching serial numbers and representing the legends of the American West. The Colt Single Action Army is a .44-40 caliber and has a 7.5" barrel length. S/N 1283WC. Single line barrel address on top of the barrel and 3 line patent dates on the left side of the frame. Blue finish on the barrel, ejector, cylinder and back strap. Case color frame and walnut grips. The barrel is decorated with gold etched floral design and Colt logo and the adverse side with Colt factory scene. The cylinder is decorated with floral pattern, Rampant Colt logo and "WC" monogram.
Winchester Model 94 in .44-40 caliber with 20" barrel length. S/N 1283WC. The barrel is decorated with gold etched floral design marked "Winchester" and the adverse side with the Winchester factory. The frame is decorated in gold etching with Winchester logo and marked "WC". The adverse side with a portrait of Oliver Winchester. Left side of the barrel is marked in 2 lines with address and caliber markings. Blue finish with case color lever. Beautifully checkered walnut stock and forearm. This set comes in an oak case lined with red velvet lining. This set also includes 2 24-karat gold plated Colt and Winchester logo medallions serial numbered to the guns. Factory letters also are included with the desirable lot.
