Cary's Terrestrial & Celestial Globes
England, early 19th century. A pair of Cary's New Terrestrial & Celestial Globes, mounted in mahogany stands each with a tripod base joined by a stretcher with compass, raised on casters. The terrestrial globe dated 1835, the celestial dated 1800; ht. 36, dia. 18 in.Condition
Globes have breaks to large areas. Zodiac rings have chips and breaks. Compass needle on one is detached. Some chips and breaks to stands.
