Leather album, 11.5 x 16 in., containing 25 silver gelatin prints, ranging in size from 4.25 x 7.5 in. to 5 x 8 in., mounted recto/verso on album pages. Most titled and credited in the negative. The centerpiece of the album is the work of George Fiske, an ex-banker who moved to Yosemite in 1879 to spend the rest of his life photographing and studying the region. The following photographs are included (organized by photographer):
George Fiske: Horse Back Ride, 80 Feet From Stump, Mariposa Grove; and 8 untitled photographs of Yosemite, including one of the spectacular views of Galen Clark, the first guardian of Yosemite when the national park was created, standing on Overhanging Rock, Glacier Point.
