- Lot Description
19.625" spear point blade, 24.375" overall length. Brass hilt with 15 rings, .90" muzzle ring with forward swept quillon, reward swept lower quillon, mortise cut numbered 75. Locking spring replaced. Includes BG&M bayonet adapter ring, roughly sand cast with mating number 53 on rear foot of double-footed lug. Ring sizes suggest use on Mississippi Rifle sized barrels or Confederate made copies there of.
Fair to good. The bayonet appears to have a chemically applied patina and the peen is slightly disturbed suggesting the blade and hilt may have been married. Otherwise, good.Condition
