Bohemian Amber Glass Lidded Compote
Continental, 19th-early 20th century. An amber glass lidded compote with cased glass panel etched to depict a scene of stags fighting, having a paneled bowl, finial and standard, with petaled base and lid; oah. 27.25 in.
Provenance: Property from the Historic Charles L. Shrewsberry House, Madison, IN Sold to Benefit Historic Madison, Inc., Madison, INCondition
Expected wear and scratches to bottom. Interior crack and exterior chip to knob on standard. Old glue residue at the joint below the knob. Small chip to lid under finial. Small chip to base.
