Silver gelatin photograph, 8.25 x 12.25 in., of baseball hall of famer Johnny Evers warming up on the field.
Johnny Evers was a second baseman from 1902 until 1917. He began his career with the Chicago Cubs (whom he helped lead to four National League pennants, including two World Series championships) and also played for the Boston Braves (winning one World Series and named the league's Most Valuable Player) and Philadelphia Phillies. He became a coach, scout, manager, and general manager after he retired from the field. The Veterans Committee inducted him into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946.
Some wear on the bottom margin of the photograph and identified twice on the reverse by pencil and crayon.
