Oblong book, 5.25 x 7.5 in., with embossed astrological signs and gilt "
Signs of My Friends" on front. The book belonged to Jessie White Weiberg (1880-1865), who apparently was an astrologer based on entries included in the book. She was a resident of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, but groups of autographs indicate she spent time in New York, Paris, Arizona, and more. Autographs of several rodeo and western performers, as well as an arena manager are included; many of these people are artists (likely local and regional) or artists in training. She also obtained autographs of several sports figures, especially baseball and golf, along with some notable Ohioans. The book includes James Thurber, his second wife, his mother, and two of his brothers. Weiberg also found some clipped signatures and tipped them onto their appropriate pages - Eddie Rickenbacker, Mamie Doud Eisenhower, Margaret Truman, and J. Edgar Hoover. The idea was to have people sign on the page of their birthday. Autographs include:
