Japanese and Chinese. A group of four lacquerware items including:
one lac burgaute vase in black with mother of pearl flowers, birds, butterflies and dragonflies; ht. 13, dia. 9.5 in.;
one red lac burgaute Chinese incense stand; ht. 6, wd. 4.75, dp. 4.75 in.;
one document or letter box (fubako) with blossoming branch, the interior with nashiji; ht. 2.5, lg. 10, wd. 3.5 in.;
and one shaped lacquer box, the top with landscape with buildings seen through branch in foreground in gold maki-e with mother of pearl highlights, the interior with nashiji; ht. 1.75, wd. 3, dp. 4.25 in.

Some losses to stand, cracks at base. Document box with visible crack at corner of lid, losses to bottom from wear. some losses to shaped box, general wear especially on bottom.Condition
