Lot Description

Blake, William. WILLIAM BLAKE'S DESIGNS FOR GRAY'S POEMS: reproduced full size in monochrome or colour from the unique copy belonging to His Grace the Duke of Hamilton. London: H. Milford, Oxford University Press, 1922. 20 1/4 by 15 1/4 inch folio in gilt printed rust colored cloth; [1]-21 [1] pages, [1] leaf, 122 plates (6 in full color) on 64 leaves : portrait. # 163 of 650 printed. A wonderful collection of art and poetry combining the creative genius of these two central figures in English art and literature.

Condition

Cloth covers are spotted and mottled with fraying and wear to the top and bottom of the spine and the corners. Contents clean and complete -- the color plates are strikingly beautiful.
