5-1/4 inchesCrafted using a unique and attractive slate having light and dark, highly contrasting bands. Some birdstones occasionally display banding which gracefully flows from the tip of the head to the tip of the tail, visible along only one side. Few have banding on both, which is present on this spectacular example.
