Parkman, Francis. THE WORKS. Boston: Little, Brown and Co., 1894. 8vo in 1/2 leather fine binding with heavy gilt tooling to the spines and gilt printed leather labels. The American literary critic Edmund Wilson, in his book O Canada, described Parkman's France and England in North America in these terms: "The clarity, the momentum and the color of the first volumes of Parkman's narrative are among the most brilliant achievements of the writing of history as an art."
With rubbing and edgewear to the bindings, contents including portraits and maps, are in Very Good condition.Condition
