Signed on the "Compliments of the Author" page (inscribee's name erased). Complete in 412 pages recounting author's service in Mexican War, Civil War, and the Indian Wars incluidng a detailed description and map of the Battle of Rosebud.
Howard, James L. (Editor). THE ORIGIN AND FORTUNES OF TROOP B: 1788 GOVERNOR'S INDEPENDENT VOLUNTEER TROOP OF HORSE GUARDS; 1911 TROOP B CAVALRY CONNECTICUT NATIONAL GUARD; 1917. Hartford, Conn.: The Case, Lockwood & Brainard Co., 1921. 9 1/4 by 6 inches in the original dark blue cloth with gilt titling to the upper cover and the spine. Complete in 261 pages including all maps, photos, rosters, etc. # 116 of the "Trooper's Limited Edition." The author, James L. Howard, was the 43rd Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut.
