Motor Ship Alva. New York: Privately printed, 1933. 4to, blue cloth with gilt front, in original slipcase; illustrated with hundreds of photographs (b-&-w), 13 maps (yellow and red highlighting) of segments of the journey, and seven full-color plates of tropical fish (with tissue guards), and world map endpapers with course of the journey in red; xx, 379, [ii] pp. With a small card printed with "Mr. William Kissam Vanderbilt" and manuscript "Wishing you a Merry Christmas."
