Wright Howes catalogued this book in 1938 with the comment that, " There was evidenced here no great unanimity of belief in the perfection of the Federal Constitution, for, while the Yeas totalled 187, their opponents achieved 168 votes; in 6 of the 12 Counties the Nays were in the majority."
