First Edition. 7 3/4 by 5 inches in the orignal gilt pictorial brown cloth, rebacked and with new endpages. 326 pages plus two pages of ads; engraved frontis, title vignette 6 additional plates. Famous account of an 11 month hunting expedition to the upper Plains to hunt elk, buffalo, and bears among the Native Americans. HOWES P43. WAGNER-CAMP 228. GRAFF 3168.
Grattan Esmonde, Sir T.H. HUNTING MEMORIES OF MANY LANDS. London: T. Fisher Unwin, Ltd., 1925. Revised and Enlarged Edition. 7 1/2 by 5 inches in the original maroon cloth with gilt titling to the spine. 262 pages fully illustrated from photographs by the author. Inscribed by the author on the 1/2 title: "To Captain Anding, Santa Fe New Mexico with the Author's compliments August 8, 1930." Big game hunting in Canada, Yellowstone, Australia, Romania, and New Zealand.
The Palliser was rebacked with new endpages; shows rubbing and wear to the edges and spine and occasional internal spotting/stains. The Esmonde has a bump to the bottom edge and a cracked front hinge, but is otherwise clean and Very Good.Condition
