Phillipson, Wm. M. THE LIFE AND VOYAGES OF WM. M. PHILLIPSON: A PERSONAL RECORD OF ADVENTURE. Sonora: The Banner, 1924. First Edition. One of 200 printed. 8 3/4 by 6 inches in the original green cloth with gilt titling to the upper cover. Signed on the front free endpage. Eberstadt catalogued this book in 1953 (Price $50) with this comment: "After fearsome adventures at sea, Phillipson settled in California and became a founder of E Clampus Vitus. He witnessed a number of killings and experienced wild times." Very scarce on the market with no copy currently for sale at any of the online bookselling sites. (Nov. 18, 2017) HOWES P331.
