McGuffey, W.H. MCGUFFEY'S NEW FOURTH ECLECTIC READER: INSTRUCTIVE LESSONS FOR THE YOUNG. Reprint of the 1866 edition published in 1925 by Henry Ford. 7 1/2 by 5 inches in pictorial boards with gilt-titled leather spine. SIGNED by Henry Ford on the front free endpage. Ford (1863-1947) was a great admirer/proponent of the McGuffey series, crediting it as a major influence on his early education, development, and eventual business success. In 1934 Ford had the log cabin where W.H. McGuffey was born moved to Dearborn Village his museum of Americana in Michigan.
Modest wear but about Very Good condition with the Henry Ford autograph in ink and quite strong and clear.Condition
