Lot Description

Fisher, Richard Swainson. Maps comp. drawn, and engr. under the supervision of J.H. Colton and A.J. Johnson. JOHNSON'S NEW ILLUSTRATED (STEEL PLATE) FAMILY ATLAS, with physical geography, and with descriptions geographical, statistical, and historical : including the latest federal census, a geographical index, and a chronological history of the civil war in America... New York: Johnson and Ward, 1864. 18 1/2 by 14 3/4 inches in contemporary 1/2 leather and blind and gilt stamped green cloth. Includes 62 hand-colored maps.

Condition

Covers very worn and separating with spine perished; contents complete; general toning to the paper and with occasional foxing to the plates but strong coloring; Map of Ohio/Indiana torn with loss -- all others clean and in nice condition.
