Emerson, B.K.; Palache, Charles; Hall, William D.; Ulrich, E.O.; and Knowlton, F.H. HARRIMAN ALASKA SERIES VOLUME IV GEOLOGY AND PALEONTOLOGY. Washington: Smithsonian Institution, 1910. First Edition. 10 by 7 inches in the original green cloth with gilt stamping to the upper cover and gilt titling to the spine. Edward Harriman was an enormously wealthy railroad magnate who in 1899 sponsored a scientific expedition with many prominent scientists to explore and document the flora and fauna of the coastline of Alaska.
