American, 19th century. A late Federal chest of drawers in walnut with burled veneers, having a scrolled backsplash with a two drawer stepped back cabinet, above an outset long drawer, and three graduated and dovetailed drawers with wooden pulls, flanked by foliate carved and rope turned columns, all rising on turned feet; ht. 50, wd. 42, dp. 21.5 in.
Condition
Item is in good condition. Retaining very old or original finish. Minimal age split and veneer loss. Missing lock hardware. Escutcheons not original.
