- Lot Description
American and Irish, late 19th-early 20th century. A group of four pieces of sterling hollowware, including:
one footed bowl by the Sterling Silver Mfg. Co.; ht. 3.75, dia. 8.25 in.;
one porringer by the Chicago Silver Co. with hand-hammered handle; ht. 1.75, wd. 6.75, dp. 5 in.;
one sauce dish with wooden handle by Lunt from Early Dublin Design; ht. 2.5, wd. 9, dp. 5 in.;
and one Irish handled bowl with foliate design around rim, marked MF; ht. 4.25, wd. 7.75, dp. 5.5 in.;
each marked for maker and STERLING or with hallmarks; total weighable silver wt. 26.765ozt (832.48g).
Bowl has small dents in bottom. Irish bowl also has some small dents. All show signs of wear consistent with age and use.Condition
