American (Otsego County, New York), 1835. A framed needlework sampler dated and signed Mary B Potter of Edmeston, New York, featuring several alphabet lines, the lower section decorated with depictions of a church and a stately home surrounded by birds and urns of flowers; 11.75 x 15.25 in. (sight).
Condition
Label on verso detailing 1993 conservation: Cleaning in distilled water with conservation detergent. Mounted on linen over a polystyrene board.
