- Lot Description
.31 caliber, 4" barrels. Six-shot with ribs on the barrels. Bolen's patent markings on the hammer. Engraved frame with engraved recoil shield. Walnut grips with silver escutcheon. Early pepperbox.
Condition
Barrels retain most of the original blue finish. Recoil shield and frame retain a lot of the bright blue finish with the rest blending to a plum. Bar hammer retains most of the bright case coloring. Triggerguard is mostly patina brown. Grips are excellent. An outstanding little pepperbox.
