- Lot Description
Albumen photograph, 8 x 5 in., with gilt border, on 9.5 x 6.25 in. mount, capturing a horse-drawn cart and horse-drawn buggy parked outside a storefront bearing the name "I.S. Bostwick." Several people, mostly men, stand outside the business, looking directly at the camera. Photographer unknown. Ca 1870s-1880s.
Condition
Even toning to print. Few imperfections, including slight loss along top edge (near gilt border-just right of center of edge). Few stains/smudges, including top right and left portions of print, as well as light water stain along lower right corner of mount. Tones are very good, rich.
Item is in good condition. Has some worm holes throughout, cornice molding being in the worst shape. Minimal surface wear to paint.
