- Lot Description
Albumen photograph, 6 x 7.5 in., on 8 x 10 in. mount. A formal portrait of a baseball squad posed in a studio setting. The players, dressed in full uniform, wear jerseys emblazoned with the initials "V.A." Some are posed with equipment, including bats, gloves, and protective gear. A banner bearing the same "V.A." initials hangs behind the young team. Stamped on mount verso by photographer E.S. Sloat.
Condition
Toning of the image as well as some damage at the lower right margin of the photograph near the bat as well as a pin hole towards the top center of the mat. Corner wear to the mat as well.
