Condition
The canvas was laid on masonite. The back of the masonite board is also lined with canvas. Other condition issues include spots of in-painting on the sitter's head and his collar, and a thick band of in-painting at the top of the canvas, along the top edge. There are several paint chips and craquelure.

At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received. Shipment is generally made via UPS Ground service. Unless buyer gives special instructions, the shipping method shall be at the sole discretion of Cowan's Auctions, Inc..
