- Lot Description
Abraham Leon clipped point blade measures 6.75" with 2.5" false edge. 10" overall. Marked "A. LEON SOLLY ST. SHEFFIELD" left of ricasso. Black painted handle with mother-of-pearl inlay. Leather scabbard with metal furniture. Fair condition. Darkening and light rust on blade due to age. Some loss of finish on grip. Loss of some leather on scabbard, which as been repaired with bass strip.
Joseph Rogers clipped point blade measures 6" with 2.5" false edge. 10.5" overall. Marked "JOSEPH ROGERS & SONS, CUTLERS TO HER MAJESTY NO. 6 NORFOLK STREET SHEFFIELD near spine. Steel guard with horn grip. Leather covered pasteboard scabbard. Fair condition. Darkening and pitting on blade, with corrosion near guard. Handle shows damage from insects. Scabbard has some leather loss from age.
