Printed broadside, 16.75 x 21 in. A Specimen of Printing Types. Glasgow: Alexander Wilson and Sons, 1783. Printed in 4 columns, providing examples of 29 different Roman, 5 black-letter, 6 Hebrew, and 5 Greek types.
Attractive specimen sheet issued by Dr. Alexander Wilson and Sons, prominent Scottish typefounders working during the second half of the 18th century, best known for casting types used by the Foulis Press.
Condition
Central horizontal fold, with few areas of separation, small holes near fold. Light wear along perimeter. Some tone lines on reverse side.
