Lot of 15 photographs, from the estate of George Warn, Co. B, 7th US Cavalry, ca early 1900s. Many of the photographs bear Warn's handstamp in the form of Co. B, 7th Cavalry crossed sabers insignia, and are dated 1904-1906. Largest is an 8.5 x 23 in. mounted photograph of the entire company and band in formation on horseback in the center of camp. Several are 7 x 9 in. photographs of soldiers in camp, both at attention and at leisure. Identified soldiers include Warn himself, "Gloomy Gus" Patrick; and Pvt. Joseph Rounds. Of particular note is a 10 x 15 in. photograph of the 4th Company of Philippine Scouts in full dress US uniforms at Co. B headquarters. Warn notes on verso that, "They are a curious people but are excellent soldiers and are well drilled."
