- Lot Description
Group of 30 embroidered postcards, some with flaps/pockets. These fall into a few groups: those with pockets (some with cards inserted); patriotic (flags, unit patches - L.N. Lancashire Reg't., Royal Engineers, London Rifle Brigade); Christmas; love/sweetheart/spouse; mother/sister and generic - "My heart is with you" and "From your loving son." There is a lot of "cross-over" - mother is also a pocket card, some of the patriotic cards have pockets, all 3 Christmas cards have pockets, etc. Each with embossed mat around the fabric, attaching then to the postcard on verso. The majority seem to be made in France, a few even from British companies, but the card is still manufactured in France. Some used (but seem to have been inserted in an envelope).

At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
