**1000 Dollar Grade Lefever Shotgun
.12 gauge, 30" barrels, S/N 58435 in raised gold numbers. Bottom of barrels have the serial number and trademark on both barrels - a large "R" on the bottom near the extractors. Raised metal on the sides of the barrels at the breech; double beads. Marked on top of the barrel Lefever Arms Co in gold letters. Whitworth Fluid Steel in gold letters. Engraved around the breech with two gold lines inlaid. Matted top rib. Engraved sidelocks with birds and hunting dog. Gold inlaid bird on the breakdown lever. Marked on the water table with 1000. Rear of the recoil shield deeply raised engraved with gold dots. Patent number are on the front of the engraved blued triggerguard with gold inlaid English Setter. Finely figured walnut stock with fleur-de-lis checkering. With pistol grip and horn cap with scalloped edges and a scalloped shaped shield in gold with "1000." Horn inlays behind the lockplates. Skeleton checkered butt. LOP 14.25"; drop at the heel 2.25". Blued barrels with case colored frame.

The barrels have been expertly re-blued and retain all of that finish. Frames retains most of the case colors. Triggerguard is original and retains most of that high blue finish. Stock and forearm have been expertly refinished. And in excellent condition. This a very high grade Lefever shotgun that has been restored to beautiful condition. It is possible that this is an upgrade.
