DESCRIPTION: Large ivory vessel in the shape of the head of Buddha. Bottom portion of vessel is lined in wood. Lid of vessel removes just above hairline. On wooden base. MEASUREMENTS: 13-2/3" with lid x 51/2" at widest part of base. CONDITION: Splits and cracks as expected with age. Pegs inserted where lid meets base. Additional piece of ivory glued to inside of lid, possibly for added stability.
