DESCRIPTION: English School (19th Century). Oil on canvas. Portrait of a little boy in red and white. Unsigned. In ornate gilded and gesso wooden frame. Circa 1850. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Ron Shepler, Harrisburg, PA. MEASUREMENTS: 41" x 35-1/4". Overall with frame 55" x 48". CONDITION: Toning and yellowing to painting. Craquelure throughout. Small areas of loss. Undulation to canvas, mostly due to contact with stretchers. Repairs to frame. Several larger losses to frame.
