DESCRIPTION: Albert Francis King (American, 1854-1945). Oil on canvas. Still life with pitcher and apples. Signed lower right "A.F. King". In a carved wood frame with gilded liner. Albert Francis King is probably one of the most important Pittsburgh painters of the 19th century. He was a founder of the Scalp Level Group and his paintings are in many major collections including the Carnegie. MEASUREMENTS: 17-1/2" x 23-1/2". Overall with frame 23-3/4" x 29-3/4". CONDITION: Two old repairs to canvas and two recent repairs to canvas. Small areas of loss.
