DESCRIPTION: 19th century French silver communion set in fitted case consisting of chalice, cover/paten, water and wine cruets and accompanying stand. All housed in velvet lined leather covered case. The chalice having a gold washed bowl in a rococo style with high repousse religious figures and putti on the base, shaft and bowl. Marked but indistinct. The cover or paten gold washed over silver with an image of the last supper. Maker's mark of ewer in diamond. The high repousse pair of ewers and tray in a rococo style with biblical scenes and putti. Marked on base "CT" with ewer in diamond for Charles Eugene Trioullier, Paris silversmith. Also marked with Minerva head for 950 silver. MEASUREMENTS: Chalice 12" high. Case 11" x 10" x 14". Approximately 49.40 troy ounces total. CONDITION: The service with some light wear from polishing but overall excellent.
