Yellowlegs
Harry V. Shourds (1861-1920)
Tuckerton, NJ c. 1900
A small conjoined "JF" is stamped on the underside. This decoy, along with its rigmates, is celebrated for its snow-white plumage and impeccable condition. Indeed, noted decoy author and dealer, Russ Goldberger, describes the following lot "as fine an example as exists!" Excellent original paint with minimal wear.
